Biography

Gintas Kraptavičius (stage name Gintas K) is a sound artist born in Lithuania in 1969. He has graduated from the Juozas Tallat-Kelpša High Music School in Vilnius (1988) and the Klaipėda Faculties of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (1993). Gintas K is active member of the Lithuanian experimental music and sound art scene since 1994. His audio works are released by a number of record labels and presented in various international festivals of electronic and experimental music, exhibitions of new media art, radio programs and magazines for sound art and contemporary music. A winner of the II International Sound Art Contest „Broadcasting Art 2010“ in Spain.
