Biography

Inspired by the natural world, poetry and movement, Eloise Gynn’s music has been described as ‘ethereal, glowering, soft edged and ruminative’. She has had works performed by the London Sinfonietta, Kokoro, Hebrides Ensemble, Schubert Ensemble, MusArc Choir, and has written two pieces for the London Symphony Orchestra, of which Sakura has been recorded and released on LSO Live. Recent works include a viola concerto, Os Golfinhos Cantam for youth ensemble, Hiraeth for four dancers, cello and electronics and a new piece for the Berkeley ensemble. As a cellist she is collaborating with Yoona Kim (Agaeng) for a performance at Hwaeomsa in Korea.
