• 1st August 2011 was the deadline of the Call for Works for the ISCM World Music Days 2012, October 25 to November 4, which won’t concentrate on one city. They will become a travelling festival which, spread over ten days, will visit six cities: Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Leuven and Mons. • On Sunday, April 17th, the American percussionist Brian Archinal was awarded the first prize (€4.500) of the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition 2011. He was one of the five finalists who battled it out for the three prizes.
