Notes

  • Program notes:

The structural material of the work is three musical monograms, i.e. three pitch class cells that were formed by the correlation of selected letters from the names of the "Trio Inlirion" (that commissioned the work and made its first performance) to musical pitches. These monograms produce not only the harmonic and melodic material of the work, but also the element of diversification of musical expression. The form of the piece unfolds as a musical narration, comprising the presentation of the three symbolic "persons", the consecutive development of their characteristics, and their valediction, with each part of this narration having a different character (contemplative, motoristic, lyrical) and musical texture.
