This piece takes the materials from the folksongs of Yao nationality in Guangxi. In the first part, the theme is from Camellias Blossom, a Yao song of butterflies in Fuchuan County of Guangxi and in the second part, from Make You Keep Me in Mind, a Yao lover song of Bama County of Guangxi. The whole piece, with graceful semiquavers, symbolizes the colorful flying butterflies. During this piece, the image of the butterflies not only refers to the ones flying in the wild among camellias but also represents the love as the love song describes: The peach flowers on the mountain are as red as fires, attracting pairs of butterflies flying back and forth.
