Notes

  • Program notes:

Natalia Prokopenko “Aria tremante” for string quartet.
    Program note.
    “Aria tremante” – “fluttering atmosphere”.
The main idea of the piece is the sound incarnation of a physical phenomenon. Mirage an optical illusion caused by atmospheric conditions, especially the appearance of a sheet of water in a desert or on a hot road caused by the refraction of light from the sky by heated air. Heat haze, also called heat shimmer, refers to the inferior mirage experienced when viewing objects through a layer of heated air.
This naturally existing miracle transformed by our mind and reception forms a sounding atmosphere of the piece.
