‘La Beauté II' for flute, violin, violoncello and piano (2008)

The title of "Beauty" is derived from one of Baudelaire's poetry "The flower the Devil". The concept of the piece is inspired by Korean traditional music, named "Sanzo". The characteristic of "Sanzo" is comprised by gradual acceleration in rhythm as well as in melodical flow. The piece is divided into sections that differ in tempo and texture. The initial slow section expresses the beauty of classical moderation. The middle section represents destiny of poet who devotes his life to pursuit of beauty. The last fast section ends with the song of eternal love.
