Notes

  • Program notes:

One of the main ideas of the quartet was the creation of the “synthetic” ensemble, which is absolutely acoustic, but sounds like the electronic music. So all the instruments are prepared with the pieces of polyfoam. It gives the sounding of the instruments absolutely new qualities: not only another kind of timbre, but also pitch enrichment (possibilities of perfoming multiphonics and subharmonics). This material lets the composer to look on the genre of string quartet in an unusual way.
