  • Program notes:

<<‘evening air’ for piano trio>> is music that express dreamlike but chilly atmosphere of starry night.
I imagined various image for night and expressed ‘cool breeze that graze face, shining stars and splendid lights of city and fragments of several sounds that do not look but arise and so on’ in work.
Through cold or mysterious and sharp timbre, delicate and elastic figures that is created by mixing of rhythm and wide change of dynamic, tried various expression for ensemble. Also, when timbre and figures of 3 instruments are mixed, it becomes genuine ensemble.
I divided this work by 3 sections. But each sections are not each other independent, because materials of each section are used continuously in other sections. Also, these materials are linked naturally through repeat and development and have unity.
