Notes

  • Program notes:

Puls und Schlag“ is the title and program of the piece: pulsations and beats. And I try out the contrary - melodies. For example the flute has to play short beats, piano-beats are common. But the piano is also playing with an E-Bow, which means tones without attacks. The percussionist beats with his hands at the beginning, which gives a caressing feeling. And at the end of the piece there is a long melody with a musical saw. Its the percussion, which plays the melody! And so on: Somehow „Puls und Schlag“ should be a way to listen to the piece. For example: Listen to the beat frequencies.
