Notes

  • Program notes:

Reshaping an expression of the cognitive scientist Douglas Hofstadter, the one who done impressive research on fonts and letter shapes, and mixing it with the lettrist techniques imaginated by Isidore Isou, the String Quartet No. 4 tries to capture in musical gestures the letters of the Latin alphabeth. The three movements are three possible manners to score a ”whirly” music in which the gesture is sculpted in the musical space according to the shape of each letter.
