Notes

  • Program notes:

Folia Drive was written during the 6th International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city for Natalia Pschenichnikova. Tape track was made by me from different field recordings, and Natasha's voice recordings. That was the way to work with my audial memories of different places i used to be, with perception of space through digital distortions of sound. Vocal counterpoint is the neccesary element of the whole, it's the subjective reaction on human being in that sound area.

  • Technical specs:

Performer needs a dynamic microphone, with reverb effect, made on mixing board. Also performer needs a laptop to play the tape track.`
