Notes

  • Program notes: 

    It comprises the following parts: VOID, LITANY, BARDO, LUMINA and INVOCATIO.
    It could be considered a meditation on some themes belonging to the initiatic Oriental and Occidental traditions.
    The musical language consists of modal & spectral techniques and uses texts of Buddha and mantras exposed in alphabet Morse so as Byzantinian hymns of the Orthodox church.
    The last part, Invocatio is a St. Francisco’s prayer translated in Romanian.

  • Technical specs: 

    1/ The string performers should be at least [44332].
    2/ It is reccommended to amplify the piano (loudspeakers).
    3/ Eolifono is optional. In case of a suitable sound it should be performed by a percussionist.
    4/ The parts should be played without breaks ( attacca ).
