Notes

  • Program notes:

Clarissima (2007, rev. 2014) for orchestra was written three months after my daugter Klára Margita was born. The music represents the process of origin and birth. Its continuous breathing in and out is getting more and more profound as it flows. The gentle beauty of its dispersed harmony slowly struggles its way from darkness towards light through intensifying “contractions” of the orchestra. Step by step. As subtly as the new life in the mother's womb. Until the moment comes when it deffinitely wants out – the moment of painfull extasy. The piece of music is a tribute to my wife Anna and is dedicated to my daughter Klára Margita.
