Notes

  • Program notes:

"Tittytainment" was a term coined by Zbigniew Brzezinski, the National Security
advisor of US president Jimmy Carter, essentially to convey the thought that a
mixture of "intoxicating entertainment and sufficient nourishment" that can
"tranquilize the frustrated minds of the globe's population."
The solution to the "20-80 society" of the 21st century. This work contains material that signifies
Tittytainment of today, there is plenty, creating a soundscape to reflect over
while resting your eyes on the visual picture of 20-80 society. The installation
has been set-up in Berlin 2015 and Stockholm 2017.

  • Technical specs:

TECHNICAL RIDER that specifies all equipment that is necessary to perform the work:
As a complement to this Sound art/music is an installation, a lot of plastic balls that fills the room or the space with the faces of the 20/80-society, completed with lights (lamps on the floor) to make the room full of round shadows. The listeners takes place on chairs and will be equipped with headphones so that during listening they will have their heads turned towards the installation, or in the middle of it, to create a kind of protected “room” which can provide a private experience.
The work need a space that’s not in the middle of everything, there shall be room for contemplating. Even though the listener is equipped with headphones it’s disturbing if there is to many sounds in the environment around. If the installation cannot be set up in a separate room it needs at least two white walls to form a corner where the installation can be hanged and the shadows can be seen.
Technically the installation has a “rack” with the possibility for 6 headphones, 6 persons to listen at the same time. With the installation comes two spots, and the bowls are hanged from transparent wires like a net in the roof.
