Notes

  • Program notes:

This work stems from a proposal to various composers associated with Jesus Guridi de Vitoria Conservatory of performing a series of scores intended for different musicians of this institution. In this case the recipient was the flutist Aitor Sarralde, which closely collaborated in the composition of the score and whose advice was essential to carry it out. The title refers to the instrumental possibilities of the flute in its different registers, possibilities that are intended to reflect in the writing of the work.
... "in heaven and on earth"... premiered at the New Trends in Contemporary Music Cycle, held on 14 June 2002 in Alava’s capital Vitoria-Gasteiz.
