    Wind Quintet No 1
    PROGRAM NOTES
This piece belongs to what is called “absolute music”, i.e. it does not recites a certain
story, nor that it draws some specific pictures. In such a way it is not of a
“programmatic” nature. Such music, however, does create feelings -as every music
does- positive or negative depending on the texture among some other factors.
With this work, the composer wishes to convey positive feelings to the audience,
eventually making its life somewhat better for as long as this piece is heard,
alienating some of the anxiety and despair of current life.
From a technical stand-point it is based on a simple melodic minor scale and the
resulting harmony, along with some of the 20th century composition techniques.
