Biography

Chien-Wei Wang, born in Taipei, Taiwan. Wang holds a Master of Music degree from Taipei Municipal University of Education and Bachelor degree from Fu Jen Catholic University. He studied with Fei-Ying Wang, Prof. Fan-Ling Su and Dr. Chia-Lin Pan.
Wang involved in compositional lectures and seminars actively, and he joined a composing master class with Prof. Robert Beaser, Kee-Yong Chong, Prof. Cort Lippe and Prof. Yi Chen in composing seminar or workshop. In May 2010, he held a composition recital for Bachelor degree, and in December, he performed the vocal work “A Blooming Tree” in Son-Yi Hall at Soochow University. In October 2012, Wang performed the solo work “Contemplation”, and he held a composition recital for Master degree in June 2013.
Wang is now the member of International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM), Asian Composers League (ACL) and FORMUSICA.
