Biography

Cheng-Che David Tsai (b. 1988) was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and completed his MA in composition at the Institute of Music, National Chiao Tung University, majoring in composition under the guidance of Professor Tzyy-Sheng Lee. He is now a doctoral student in composition under the guidance of Professor Tsung-Hsien Yang. His orchestra work “Brahma” won the third prize from the Final Concert of the Composition Competition 2014, NTSO. Recently he was selected as a participant working with Beat Furrer, Mark André and Karth Norx to the 2014 Etchings Festival in France, also was admitted as a participant to the 2014 Atlantic Music Festival in the United States. He was chosen twice to the 2014 25th and the 2013 24th Takefu International Composition Workshop, for full scholarship, and was under the guidance of Professor Alberto Posadas. His works were performed at the 2012 and the 2013 Taipei International New Music Festival.
