Biography

Pierre Slinckx studied composition and classical writings at the Royal Mons Conservatory (Belgium).
He composes acoustic or mixed pieces for ensembles such as Musiques Nouvelles, the MP4 string quartet, Sturm und Klang, Fractales Ensemble...
Winner of the Henri Pousseur prize for young composers in 2013 and the André Souris prize in 2015,
he’s member of the LAPS ensemble as a laptop performer and plays together with Cindy Castillo in a church organ/laptop duo.
In 2010, the netlabel Pause released his “Dances EP” which was produced exclusively with gameboys.
He’s member of SMOG which organises monthly contemporary and experimental music concerts in Brussels (www.smogmusic.org).
