Biography

(Bilbao, 1984) Beginnings as self-taught, introduces himself in music through the piano and electric guitar, developing an approach to the musical creation based on the experimental and the empirical.

He studied in Barcelona with Agustí Charles at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, and later in Austria, where he finished with distinctions under the guidance of Beat Furrer the Master Program in Composition at the University of Music and performing Arts of Graz.

He has worked his music with the Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, Arditti String Quartet, Bilbao Symphony, Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, IEMA Ensemble (Ensemble Modern Academy) Ensemble Proton Bern, being performed his works at the festivals Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik 2016, 46. Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt 2012”, Musikprotokoll 2013, Vienna International Saxfest 2015, Impuls 2015.

Current projects include a new piece for piano and electronics, a new piece for the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble (December 2016) and a new ensemble piece for the Klangforum Wien, which is going to be premiered in Vienna in December 2017.
