Biography

PRASQUAL - composer, pianist, sound architect and conductor.
He composes mostly stage works in which microtonality, different tempo-layers, electronics and spatiality coexist. His working method is the "dynamics of chaos": from an existing infinite amount of possibilities only some are being incorporated as an audible music. This makes his art come very near to life, though not portraiting it.
PRASQUALs works are being described as the "ritual music theatre of the sound".
His musical developement is influenced by contact with and works of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Claude Vivier, Horatiu Radulescu and Galina Ustvolskaja, to mention the most important.
He has received commissions from the National Opera in Warsaw, DeutschlandFunk, Städtische Bühnen Münster, opera houses in Wrocław and Poznań, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Polish Dance Theatre as well as many scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Deutsche Bank Stiftung and Kunststiftung NRW.

PERNYAI was composed in 2010 for the Susaa Festival in Denmark and performed by the an_Arche Ensemble.
