Biography

Jean-Louis Poliart achieves traditional musical studies in the classes of piano and composition (with PB MICHEL) at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Belgium). He obtains there in 1996 a higher diploma in electroacoustic composition class of Annette Vande Gorne.
Professor of harmony in this royal institution until 2008, he was also the director of the academy of music "La Chantrerie" of Soignies. He created a course of electroacoustic composition there in 1994 (a première in Belgium on the level of the academies of music), a course of carillon and a musical workshop for intellectually defective people.
His production goes from electroacoustic to instrumental field while passing by audio arts and music for the theatre.

He is a member of several associations of composers and / or electroacoustics and holder of diverse awards.
