Biography

Özdemir started getting curious for piano and composing music at early age. He received his formal training from Faris Akarsu while pursuing a degree in Business Management. Later on, he studied composition with Fernando Benadon, Mark Wingate and İlhan Usmanbaş at MIAM - Istanbul Technical University. He continued his curiosity towards his DMA, he studied composition with Kamran İnce at the University of Memphis, USA.
Özdemir`s music has been performed in 6 continents. He also honours to have compositional awards from Greece, Turkey and Sweden.
His curiosity took ten years to finish “Tritonet”, a book for a new type of harmony education, based on Circle of Fifths. It will be published in English in 2017. He is still continuing the curiosity towards Music with Brainwaves, Ancient Middle-Eastern Music Theory, Harmony of the Moment and Algorithmic Music.
Özdemir currently teaches at Istanbul Bilgi University, Music Department.
