Long, Guo - M - China 




Guo Long is a composition professor at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China. Long has composed many different kinds of music works Include Orchestra, chamber music, chorus, solo music for instrument player and singer. Some of them have won awards at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Chengdu City Government, and Taiwan Province. His music has been performed in Mainland, Taipei, Hong-Kong and United States.
2006, Mr. Guo was invited to attend “Oriental Era Contemporary Music Festival” in Korea; 2007, invited to join “A Bridge of Music” in United States and ISCM-ACL World Music Day 2007 Hong Kong. In 2008, he attended the Europe to meet China project. In 2009, he was invited to attend international composition workshop of Luxembourg and South Asia modern music festival. In addition in 2011 was invited to the ISCM World Music Days, Zagreb. Currently, Guo Long is a full time professor, working in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. He is director of the composition theory teaching and research group of Composition Dept. and member of the contemporary music center of SCCM.
