Biography

Livia Lin received the Saint Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Award in 2011, and holds an LRSM with distinction in piano performance. Began composing in 2006, her works have since been presented at international festivals including the Musicarama in Hong Kong, the Asian Composers’ League Festivals in Taiwan and the Festival of Women in Arts in New York, to name a few. A graduate from Berklee College of Music double majoring in Music Production & Engineering and Film Scoring, Lin was awarded scholarship to study composition at Tufts University where she received her MA. She has participated as audio engineer in production projects of Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), Bang on a Can bassist Robert Black and composer Martin Boykan. Lin is currently an active musician in art music and mainstream pop.
