Chihchun Chi-sun Lee has received doctoral degree from the University of Michigan. Currently she is an invited professor at Ewha Womans University. She was awarded the grand prize of the first Brandenburg Biennial Composers Competition, Theodore Front Prize from International Alliance for Women in Music, ISCM/League of Composers Competition, International Festival of Women Composers Composition Prize, and the fourth female composer to receive the nomination for “the Best Composer” at the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan.
Lee’s commissions are from the Harvard Fromm Foundation, Taiwan National Culture and Arts Foundation, Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Korea, Taipei Chinese Orchestra, Taiwan National Concert Hall and Theater, and Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, just to name a few. Her recordings are from the SONY, Albany/Capstone, Naxos, etc. Performances at Carnegie Hall, 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, as well as in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hawaii, Israel, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Costa Rica, Ukraine, China, Hong Kong, and USA.
