Biography

Ian was born in Liverpool in 1955 but grew up in Wrexham; he is a composer, producer, recording studio owner and one half of Heneghan and Lawson.

Ian studied music at University College Cardiff where his post-graduate tutor was Alun Hoddinott. Since then many of Ian’s works have been performed by the Hallé, BBC NOW and Orchestra of Welsh National Opera. Ian is most well-known for the theme song of a favourite children's animation series, Fireman Sam, still going strong after twenty-five years.
