Biography

MANUELA KERER (*1980) finished her composition studies in Innsbruck and Milan (Alessandro Solbiati) and received degrees in violin education, law and psychology (PhD “Music and dementia”). She composed for Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop Berlin, die reihe, Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie and master musicians like Julius Berger and Maja Ratkje, for Wien Modern, Münchener Biennale, Berlin and Vienna Konzerthaus. She won awards like the Austrian State Grant for composition, Walther-von-der-Vogelweide prize, Richard Wagner Scholarship and SKE Publicity Prize. She was elected one of 100 young creative talents in Europe, in 2015 she is composer in residence in Frankfurt. Kerer’s works have been featured on several CDs.
