Biography

Joong-Hoon Kang studied composition and engineering at Yonsei University, Korea, and computer music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he received his M.M. and D.M.A. degrees in composition. For many years, he has focused on multi-dimensional aspects of sound morphology and computer-aided compositions using various algorithms, often incorporating elements of traditional music found in the diverse cultures. His compositions have been performed at various music festivals and conferences including the SICMF and ICMC 2015. Joong-Hoon Kang is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Seoul.
