Biography

Anastasija Kadiša is coming from Jūrmala, Latvia. She began her musical career as a pianist. Later she turned to composition graduating from the Jāzeps Vītols Music academy of Latvia by J.Karlsons. She enriched her knowledge in composition and music theatre by K.Meyer and J.Fritsch in Cologne (Germany) and in Basel (Switzerland) where she studied by G.F.Haas obtaining a Master degree. Now she is developing skills in art-performance at the Academy of Art and Design Basel (Switzerland). Anastasija's compositions have been played in different contemporary music festivals such as: Jaunās Mūzikas Dienas (Latvia),Viliaus Veidai (Lithuania), Festival Brücken, Donaueschinger Musiktage, SWR Schwetinger Festspiele (Germany), New Music Days (Rome, Italy), electronic music festival d'Bale (Switzerland), art performance festival ACT'15 (Basel, Zurich, Geneva, Switzerland) etc. 2007 O.Zīverss piano prize. Since 2011 is a member of the Latvian Composer's Union. 2015-2017 Deutsche Bank scholarship holder for the academy of contemporary music theatre.
