Biography

Chris Hung was educated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, awarded the Doctor of Music Degree in Composition in 2009.
Hung has attended composition lectures with Brian Ferneyhough, Liza Lim etc.
His music have been performed in United States, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong etc.
He collaborated with various ensembles, such as Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra (Bulgaria), Ensemble Modern (Germany), Singapore Chinese Orchestra (Singapore) etc.
Hung has participated international music festivals, such as Seoul Drum Festival and 45th Darmstadt Ferienkurse für neue Musik etc.
Awarded works include Concerto Funèbre (First Prize, “Sofia 2013” International Composition Competition); Cosmos (Honourable Mention, 2012 Singapore Ding Yi Composition Competition); Borobudur (Finalist, 2011 Singapore Chinese Orchestra Composition Competition), Ever-changing Veins of Stone (Second Prize, 2011 Poznan Composers' Competition) etc.
