Biography

Born in Taiwan and raised between New Zealand and Australia, Annie’s work focuses on music as an immersive physical experience and prefers to describe her music in terms of choreography, affective aptitude and resonances in spatial constraints. She received her doctoral degree from the University of California, San Diego, with Lei Liang and Katharina Rosenberger. Recent commissions include Symphony Services Australia, Wien Modern, Fondation Royaumont and ELISION Ensemble. Her music has been presented in Metropolis New Music Festival, Tectonic Festival, ISCM World Music Days, International Rostrum of Composers, SEAMUS and Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music.
She is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of music at the School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University.
