Biography

Samuel Holloway (b. 1981) is a composer based in Auckland, New Zealand. He was the 2013 Mozart Fellow at the University of Otago, and a 2016 Civitella Ranieri Fellow in Umbria, Italy. He is currently an Academic Leader in the department of Performing and Screen Arts at Unitec, Auckland.

Samuel’s work has been performed by prominent artists and ensembles including Klangforum Wien, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Formalist Quartet (LA), the Miyata-Yoshimura-Suzuki Trio (Tokyo), NZTrio and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has also recently undertaken a number of collaborative projects with the collective et al..
