Biography

Dr Leontios Hadjileontiadis is a Professor at Dept. of ECE of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and Khalifa University of Science and Technology, UAE, and a Musicologist and Composer, working in the fields of advanced signal processing, biomedical engineering, affective computing, active and healthy ageing and intelligent educational data modeling and analysis and Biomusic. His scientific publication record includes >100 papers in peer reviewed international journals, >150 papers in peer reviewed international conference proceedings, 6 books, 2 books edited, 24 book chapters and 3 patents [h-index=34 (Google scholar), 28 (Scopus)], and has composed so far 90 music works performed worldwide especially focused in the use of biosignals (e.g., EEG, gestures) in music composition. He is Second Vice President of the Greek Composers’ Union and responsible for the ISCM Greek Section. Prof. Hadjileontiadis has been awarded, amongst other awards, as innovative researcher and champion faculty from Microsoft, USA.
