Biography

Viktor Fuček (1977) studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and later he attended Conceptual studio on Academy of Fine Arts in Prague where he graduated in 2012.
His work is recognized for his unique interweaving of drawing, video and installation. It raises questions about the paradoxical relationship between time and space and their impact on human perception and behaviour.
Viktor's work has been featured in several group exhibitions, including Transgression, video & media art from Czech Republic (Hong Kong); Fonland festival (Coimbra, Portugal); Arte Laguna Art Prize, finalist exhibitions (Venice, Italy); Micro Gallery, Canberra, Australia; Diplomanti, Czech National gallery (Prague, Czech Republic). With composer Marian Lejava premiered Video-opera “The Water House of Colours” in 2005. He also took a part in concert of British composer Gavin Bryars with video-work on his composition “Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet”.
He is active member of contemporary music composers’ association SOOZVUK.
