Emilsson, Anders 

 
 

 

Biography

Anders Emilsson (1963) studied composition, clarinet, church music and conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He also studied composition with Jan Sandström at the College of Music in Piteå and Walter Zimmermann at the Berlin University of the Arts. He studied conducting with Paul Mägi in Tallinn, Estonia.
As a composer he has worked with materials ranging from folk to spectral harmonies and minimalistic structures. His output includes orchestral, chamber and choir pieces as well as opera. He has composed several works for the Swedish Wind Ensemble and its former chief-conductor – famous tromboneplayer Christian Lindberg.
