Biography

George Dousis studied composition with T. Antoniou and M. Lapidakis and attended compositional seminars with B.Ferneyhough, W.Rihm, and M. Stroppa, Ivan Fedele, and S.Sciarrino among others. His compositional work is often performed in Greece and abroad (U.K., U.S.A., Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, etc.). He has been collaborating with the most important Greek performers and orchestras (National Symphonic Orchestra of E.R.T, State Symphonic Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Orchestra of Colors, Kamerata e.t.c. as well as the Cannes Symphonic Οrchestra and the Boston Pops-U.S.A). He is member of ISCM GR (International Society of Contemporary Music), and HELMCA (Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association).
