Biography

Apostolos Darlas was born in Athens in 1972. He studied at the Greek National Conservatory (piano, harmony, counterpoint, and fugue diplomas). Conducting and composition (awarded with the Golden Medal) with Pr. Theodore Antoniou. 



Awards: (Greek, European, International Composition Competitions): Epallilon, Morfomata, Epikasti, Walls, Tyro, Phaedra, Theodmatoi Pylai, Agamemnon (opera).



Commissions from several orchestras such as Athens State Orchestra, Allea III, Orchestra of Colours, Greek National Ochestra of Radio Television.



Works of him have been performed in Greece, in several countries of Europe, and in the USA. His catalogue of works contains more than a hundred and forty works. He is currently working as a piano teacher at the Music School of Ilion, and he is also a member of the Greek Composers’ Union.
