Biography

Sandra Conte, born in Brindisi, is an italian pianist and composer. She studied composition at the
“G.Verdi” Conservatorium of Milan, with Fabio Vacchi, Sonia Bo and Gianni Possio, getting her
diploma in 2011 “magna cum laude”.
Many of her compositions have been awarded in international competitons and performed in
important italian tehaters and Festivals: “La strega Bombolona” (2004), operina, rapresented at
“Teatro Ariosto” of Reggio Emilia, “La teiera ballerina” (2007) at “Teatro Da Ponte” of Vittorio
Veneto, “Divertimento for young orchestra” (2008) at “Teatro Dal Verme” of Milan, “La Gatta
Bianca” (2012), first prize at Fedora chamber opera competition, at “Teatro Coccia” of Novara,
with the soprano Linda Campanella and MDI ensemble. Chamber compositions were included in
“Bellagio and Como lake music festival”.
She has written a Piano Method and other instrumental and choral didactical pieces.
She has collaborated for theater and dance projects, like the dance show “Humaterra”.
