Biography

Giuseppe Colardo (1953), studied at Milan Conservatory and graduating in Piano (1975) with Piero Rattalino and in Composition (1980) with Renato Dionisi and Azio Corghi.
He was awarded in various national and international composition competitions, as ”Okanagan Music Festival for Composers” - Canada 1983, “Alea III” - Boston 1985, “Rencontres International de Chant Choral” - France 1985.
In 1980, 1982 and 1984 his works were selected and performed by “Gaudeamus Foundation” in Holland.
His compositions were performed in national and international festivals (Nuova Consonanza, Accademia Filarmonica, Nuovi Spazi Musicali in Rome; Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, Milano Classica, Novurgia in Milan; Festival Antidogma and Rive-Gauche Concerti in Torino; Carlo Felice in Genova; Autunno Musicale in Como; Sonopoli, in collaboration with La Fenice in Venezia; Aspekte Salzburg in Austria; Almeida Theatre in London; ecc.) and broadcasted by RAI and several european radios.
He teaches Composition at the Milan Conservatory.
