Biography

José Rubén Cid began studying piano at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Segovia where he made the Honor Roll. He graduated from Musikene, High School of Music of the Basque Country, specializing in composition, and orchestral conducting, under the tutelage of composers such as Gabriel Erkoreka, Ramón Lazkano and Stefano Scarani, as well as conductors such as Enrique García Asensio and Manel Valdivieso. He also studied at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, with composers such as Andreas Stahl and Xavier Dayer. After graduating, he earned his Master’s degree in Education at UCM in Madrid. In 2013, he moved to London with the program Leonardo Da Vinci, where he developed his artistic and teaching work at Quainton Hall School. He is currently the professor of harmony and composition at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Huelva and conductor of the choir “La espadaña" of Ayllón.
