Biography

Dalibor Bukvić graduated in composition at the Zagreb Academy of Music in the class of Stanko Horvat. He attended summer courses in Darmstadt with K. Stockhausen and L. Lombardi and continued his studies at the Paris Conservatory with Laurent Cuniot, at the Conservatoire National de Région de Boulogne with Michel Zbar and at IRCAM’s Summer Academy in Paris. He is currently working as associate professor of music theory subjects at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. He composes for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, choirs and orchestras, and writes for theatre, film and television. He received many awards for his work.
