Biography

Biography:
Ivan Brkljacic completed his graduate (2001) and postgraduate (2005) studies in composition at the University of Art/Faculty of Music in Belgrade. At the same University, in 2012 he defended his doctoral art project, mentored by prof. Srdjan Hofman.
The works of Ivan Brkljačić have been performed numerous times in Belgrade and other Serbian cities. They have also been performed in Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Germany, Croatia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, France, Romania, Hungary and Australia (in 2010 The New Music Days in Sydney were opened with his composition Jinx, performed by Australian Modern Music Ensemble).
From 2005 he has been working at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, at the Department for Theoretical Subjects. In parallel (from 2015) Brkljacic performs the function of the vice-dean for teaching.

From 2007 Brkljacic acts as the selector of the program of the International Review of Composers.
