Biography

Jugoslav Bošnjak (1954) holds a BA and MA in composition from the Faculty of Music, University of Belgrade. He is a music producer of the Choir and the Symphony Orchestra of the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). Stylistically a postmodernist, he mostly composes pieces for large musical ensembles – orchestral music and oratorios. Emotionally charged and characterized by evocative imagery and mythological references, his music is poetically and philosophically rooted in the musical tradition of Western Europe. His work includes symphonic fantasias, ballets, oratorios, etc. Among his recent works is a space trilogy consisting of theUniverse, the Big Bang, and the Orion Nebula M42.
