    LOWER SILESIAN WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
    "TELL ME BAJKA"

Improvisation workshops for children are the original idea of Małgorzata Kołcz. It involves the practical contact of children and their parents with contemporary music and fun sound, combined with the viewing and sound interpretation of illustrations from picture books, under the guidance of professional musicians.

Workshops are directed to children in two age groups: 3-5 and 6-8 years. Children during their classes are accompanied by their parents or guardians, thanks to which the theme of improvisation becomes closer to an adult. Such workshops last about 90 minutes, with a break for a small snack. The version of classes for pre-school and early-school groups (without parents) takes about 50 minutes without interruption. The workshops consist of conversations with musicians and presentation of instruments, games with sound, individual and collective improvisations (including movement), viewing picture books and telling illustrations, then interpreted by soundtracks by improvising musicians.

Classes are conducted by the audience animators along with professional musicians specializing in contemporary music performance. In 2017, the classes were run by:

    - Karina Kamizela - flutes
    - Jarosław Siwiński - synthesizer and piano
    - Risto Gjorevski (Macedonia) - Balkan traditional instruments: gajda, kaval, tapan
    - Trillingen Duo: Iwona Jędruch (violin, gongs, sound bowls, white vocals) and
    Małgorzata Kołcz (double-bass)
    - Katarzyna Duda - violin
    - Michał Styczyński - viola
    - Bartosz Kołsut - accordion

Animators of classes during the entire cycle:
Małgorzata Kołcz, Jarosław Siwiński and Izabela Kobylańska

Lower Silesian workshops "Tell me a fairy tale" included three series of workshops (September, October, November) on Kłodka Land - a total of 21 workshops. The locations of the workshops are the State Music School of the first century. F. Chopin in Kłodzko, Municipal Communal Cultural Center in Międzylesie and his branch in Domaszków.

The project was co-financed by the National Center for Culture and the PZU Foundation.

    WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
    "TELL ME BAIKKA" IN WILANÓW

A series of four workshops "Tell me a fairy tale" was organized in the Wilanów district in Warsaw in October and November. It was a "family" version of the workshops described above, combining the language of contemporary music with watching and sound interpretation of picture books. Approximately 90 minutes (with a break for refreshments) were attended by children aged 3-8 and their parents and guardians.

The workshops were conducted by: Jarosław Siwiński

    AUDIO STAGE 2017

"Audio Stage" is a project of the Polish Society for Contemporary Music, organized by PTMW since 2012. In 2017, the "Audio Stage" was organized by the "Warsaw Autumn" Friends Foundation and the PTMW supervised the content-related supervision over the project.

"Audio Stage" is dedicated to performative arts. His guiding idea is the deep integration of music with stage plays. Musical-theatrical forms - monodramas and preludes to them, which are created within it, can in principle function as items of the theater repertoire and as elements of musical events. They are created by composers, but performed not by musicians but by stage artists: actors, dancers, and mimes. Hence the name of the form - the audiovisual works.

An audioscence work is therefore a musical form in which the performer, and sometimes also an instrument, is a stage artist. Sounds that arise through his actions, such as movement, dance, speech, live electronics, are the material from which the composer creates a song. The first performer of a piece is also usually his co-author.

The composers who work mainly in the field of experimental music are invited to participate in the "Audio Stage", who prepare songs in cooperation with actors, mimes and dancers.

Thanks to the orders, original audioscence works are created with accompanying preludes. Preludes are performed by musicians, but they always contain elements of instrumental theater, so they are a kind of "mirror" form towards the audioscence works.

The evening of the world premieres of "Audio Stage 2017" took place on December 10 at the theatrical institute. Zbigniew Raszewski (Jazdów 1 street).

4 audioscence monodramas were composed by: Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Wojciech Błażejczyk, Anna Maria Huszcza and Jarosław Kordaczuk.
The performers and co-authors of these compositions were actresses and dancers: Dominika Miękus, Izabela Kościesza, Izabela Chlewińska and Marta Grzywacz.

The composer of the series of preludes was Krzysztof Knittel, who was also their performer along with the accordionist Alexey Vorsoba (Belarus).

The evening of the premieres was preceded by an hour's meeting of artists with the audience, led by Małgorzata Kołcz - the originator and artistic director of the project.

"Audio Stage 2017" was co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw Warsaw.
