Annual Report

  • Year:
    2016
  • Please describe your organization’s activities over the past year, including concerts, commissions, collaborations, publications:

Since 2012, Taipei International Contemporary Music Festival has been the most important event the ISCM Taiwan Section has hosted. The theme of 2016's festival is "Diversity and Integration". From the combination of "music and dance" to "multimedia and music theater", the festival's content shows the most diverse creation and performance ever since. On the one hand, we hope to show the diversity of contemporary composers in Taiwan, but also introduce the possibilities of combining music with other arts to the Taipei’s audience.
We invited the Japanese composer Keiko Harada came to Taiwan as a guest composer of the Festival. She had a concert to introduce her chamber music to Taiwan. At the same time, we also invited the Swiss contemporary music duet UMS'n JIP to Taiwan as well.
