2nd International S. Slonimsky Composition Competition

Calls for Submissions: 2nd International S. Slonimsky Composition Competition Deadline: 10 Feb 2015 This will be an opportunity for young and talented composers from all over the globe to have their music performed by ensemble proton bern (Switzerland) at the Saint-Petersburg International New Music Festival, which will be held from 21st to 29th May, 2015. In addition to the concert performance, the winning scores will be published by reMusik.org Publishing House and the recordings will be released on the reMusik label. The competition will consist of two rounds: the selection round and the finals. The selection round (based on portfolio: please see “Rules of the Competition”) will be held from 10th January to 10th February 2015. The jury will then select a maximum of 4 composers to write a new work for the final round of the competition. The organising committee will notify the candidates no later than 17th February 2015 of the result of their application after the initial selection round. Submission date of the completed works by the finalists is 21st April 2015. The composers of the works in the final round will be invited to be present at the open rehearsals and final concert in St. Petersburg.  Read more ..
