As part of the 9th Inter­na­tional Compe­tition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” (February 4–12, 2015), the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) is organizing a seperate Inter­na­tional Compo­sition Compe­tition. The prime aim of this compe­tition is to encourage the creation of new works for Piano Trio. This compe­tition is dedicated to a work for Trio for Piano, Violin and Violoncello with a maximum length of 15 minutes. The award winning work will be on the programme as a compulsory piece of music in the 3rd round of the compe­tition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” taking place in 2015, i.e. all ensembles in this round will play the award winner’s composition. ...read more
