Livorno Music Festival





From the 22th of August to the 7th of September 2016, 11 Master Classes will be held by internationally renowned performers and professors from the most prestigious Music Institutions, such as the Royal Academy of Music, London; the Conservatoire National Supérieur of Paris; the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, in Cologne, in Freibourg and Berne. Thanks to the Festivals, some students from previous years are now studying in these eminent institutions.

Theme : to compose “The Migrant’s Tale” for orchestra This 5th competition is opened to composers under 33 years old on January 1st 2017, from any country and enrolled in composition and/or orchestration training program in the European Union within the five last years. Live-electronic Composition Contest - Concours de Bourges 2016





Composers are invited to write a short study of 2 to 4 minutes maximum. The electroacoustic device is represented by the software P-Soft supplied byMusInfo. The composers whose studies are chosen will receive a commission from the Opus Centrum ensemble who collaborates with MusInfo. They will be invited to write a full length composition that will be played and recorded next year.
